Personal and Professional Growth Group:

Several faculty members have created a Personal and Professional Growth Group that will meet regularly using common preps and after-school time to discuss outlets for professional growth, inclusive of: literature pertaining to professional and personal growth, attendance at community seminars, sharing personal experiences and sharing suggestions for sound teaching.

We plan to implement cross curricular activities as a result of our meetings in an effort to foster the growth of our student population. At our first meeting, we created a reading plan for the "The New Earth" by Eckhart Tolle" and planned to attend Jonathan Kozol's presentation at The College of Saint Rose on March 13th at 7:30pm in the Lally Building. The presentation was entitled "Witnessing for Children: Ethics and Aesthetics in Our Public Schools in the Era of No Child Left Behind"
