Watervliet's youngest students get peek at classrooms, meet teachers

Watervliet youngsters had a chance to meet their classmates and teachers, and become familiar with their classrooms during the Universal PreKindergarten orientation on Aug. 30. Parents and guardians also had a chance to speak with their child's teachers and learn more about the school's policies and the program's expectations. Fifty-three students are enrolled in Watervliet's UPK program, which operates in partnership with Albany County Head Start and Capital District Beginnings and is beginning its sixth year.
