SADD
members and Delta Force help spread holiday cheer!
|
The holidays are a time to get out in
your community and make a difference in someone's life. That
is just what members of SADD and Delta Force did when they
took the time to participate in the Senior Center's holiday
luncheon. SADD members served up the food and Delta Force
provided the entertainment - sing some old standards and
some new favorites!
"We do this not only as a community
service, but as a way to make valuable connections between
the youth and elders of the Watervliet Community," said
Dennis Robinson, SADD's faculty advisor. "We are trying to
keep traditions alive for the kids and seniors alike and the
students really look forward to this event and embrace the
opportunity to help brighten the holiday season." |

The following SADD members participated in the
event: Brittany Johnson, Christina Touzin, Katie Lynch, Rachel Karig,
Brittany Eveleth, Crystal Mattot-Loomis, Nicole Mattot-Loomis,
Caitlyn Perrott, and Akiem Mendoza.
The students were also joined by district
staff and administrators, including: SADD advisor, Dennis Robinson;
guidance counselor, Kelly Creaser; student assistance counselor,
Tumesia Nabors; WJSHS Principal, Lori Caplan; and Watervliet City
Schools Superintendent Paul Padalino.
