SRO to hold internet safety seminars

Dangers for our youth are all around them in today’s society, but did you know some of those dangers could be right inside your household and maybe even their own rooms. Learn what today’s youth is using to network and communicate with others online and what some of the dangers of these networking sites actually are.

Please plan on attending one of the following seminars:

Thursday, March 6 at 7:00 PM
Tuesday, March 18 at 5:30 PM
Both sessions will be held in Watervliet High School Auditorium (1245 Hillside Drive, Watervliet NY)

Please click here to e-mail Sgt. Spain to RSVP for these important seminars.

Bus Safety should be a priority!

It is important that both parents and students understand that the buses used for transportation from the Watervliet School District for the High School population are not school buses. That is, the buses used are from Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) and the New York State Traffic Law does not require vehicles to stop when these buses are boarding or de-boarding passengers as they do for the familiar Yellow School Buses. Please read this important memo from Sgt. Spain regarding bus safety.
