Seventeen acts take the stage

Watervliet Jr.-Sr. High School hosted its first annual Lip Sync contest on Wednesday, Feb. 1—and it was a hit! In all seventeen acts, some solo and several group performances, took the stage for a fun-filled evening lip synching their favorite songs in front of an enthusiastic crowd.

Capturing first place were Xavier Reyes, Jon Conners and Noah Bagnardi performing SpongeBob’s “Campfire Song Song.”

Second place finishers were Hallie Mainville, Ruby DiSisto and Alix Denue singing Katie Perry’s “The One that Got Away.”

In third place, Kyle McNary sang “Just a Friend” by Biz Markie.

Thanks to Mr. David Wareing, Mrs. Terri Bradway and  Junior High School Student Council President Natalie Migliore for serving as judges.
