On Wednesday, December 13, students from Ms. Lyndsay Moore and Mrs. Robyn Scotlands classes visited the Watervliet Civic Center.

The students volunteered their time to sort food and pack bags for the elementary schools Food is Fuel program, a collaborative effort between the Civic Center and the elementary school that provides children with non-perishable, nutritious, kid-friendly food to sustain them over weekends and school holidays.

The students formed an efficient assembly line enabled them to complete the work quickly and efficiently. They also earned work-based learning hours through this volunteer experience.
