Welcome new physical education teacher Kelsey Logan
In June, the Board of Education appointed Kelsey Logan as physical education teacher at the Watervliet Junior/Senior High School. Ms. Logan will teach grades 7-12 physical education classes, as well as coach varsity girls’ soccer and junior varsity girls’ basketball.
Coach Logan comes to the district via SUNY Cortland, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in physical education. She is currently completing her master’s degree in health education. While at Cortland, Kelsey played for the women’s basketball team.
Originally from Section II, Kelsey graduated from Fort Plain High School in 2011, where she was a three-sport student athlete. She is excited to begin her career in Watervliet, and is eager to jump right in to Cannoneer Athletics!
“I’m excited to start my teaching and coaching career at Watervliet and grow not only as an educator, but also as an individual,” Coach Logan said. “Everyone I have met and worked with so far has been great and very welcoming and it has helped to make this new transition easier.”
To me, I can’t think of anything better than waking up every day and going to school and being around kids. I can honestly say I know I’m doing what I was put here to do. It’s such a fulfilling and rewarding feeling to know you help to shape and impact the lives of children and young adults.
What activities do you enjoy in your free time?

I listen to many different types of music but mostly alternative and country.

Chicken and biscuits has always been a top meal choice along with any breakfast food. I could eat breakfast food for every meal of the day.
