Phase IV building project vote scheduled for December 20

The Watervliet City School District has an opportunity to make $18.9 million in facilities improvements—deferred from prior projects because of cost constraints—at NO additional cost to local taxpayers.

The entire project would be paid through state building aid and new incentive funds earmarked specifically for school construction that only a limited number of school districts in the state qualified to receive. Read more

City residents will vote on the proposed Phase IV renovations project on Tuesday, December 20.

Building improvements proposed for Watervliet Jr./Sr. High School and Watervliet Elementary School include:

Polling locations

The Phase IV building project vote will be held on Tuesday, December 20 from 12 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the following polling places:

bullet graphicWatervliet City Hall, Broadway and 15th Street – Ward II

bullet graphicWatervliet Elementary School, 10th Avenue and 25th Street – Ward III

Informational meetings

Several informational meetings are scheduled giving the community an opportunity to learn more about the project and ask questions. All meetings will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Watervliet Jr./Sr. High School administrative conference room on the following Thursdays:
