District welcomes new coordinator of literacy/UPK and new elementary school assistant principal

The new coordinator of literacy and universal prekindergarten and the new assistant principal at Watervliet Elementary School share some things in common.
Both were fourth-grade teachers prior to accepting positions in Watervliet; both earned their administrative certificates from the College of Saint Rose in Albany; and both are currently immersed in reading books about the new common core learning standards. Perhaps most importantly, both are excited to be the newest members of the Watervliet team … and the district is happy they’re here!
