Watervliet recognizes bus drivers during National Bus Safety Week

Getting children to and from school safely and on schedule is what makes bus drivers an integral part of our schools and our community.

In recognition of National Bus Safety Week (ongoing Oct. 22-26), and to show appreciation for all bus drivers do on behalf of our students, the Watervliet City School District treated drivers to coffee and donuts in thanks for their efforts.

In addition, the Watervliet Elementary School Parent Teacher Association (WES PTA) presented all bus drivers with gift cards to Dunkin Donuts to further thank them for the important role they play in the lives of our students.

Watervliet Superintendent of Schools Dr. Lori Caplan and WES PTA President Sheri Senecal thank all the district's bus drivers, including those pictured below: Chris Kowalewski, Joe Zakrzewski, David Capitula, and  Darryl Whited.
